ATnotes

AT stands for my name Ascher Thomas.
Do not uninstall to upgrade to a newer version, you would lose all your notes and settings. Simply install the new version into the same directory like the old version.
Sending/receiving notes to/from other computers works only in a local TCP/IP network. In addition sender and recipient both must use the same port number and the recipient must accept incoming notes. These settings can be defined in the Network section of the Settings.
If you are using a personal firewall like ZoneAlarm, you may get a message like "ATnotes is trying to act as a server". This happens if ATnotes is configured to "listen" for incoming notes sended by ATnotes users from other computers. You can turn this feature (and the message from your personal firewall) off by unchecking the option Accept incoming notes in the Network section of the Settings.
The files used to store the notes and the recycle bin are defined in the Various section of the Settings. To make a backup simply backup these files. To restore the backup files exit ATnotes and then copy them back to the original location.
If you want to assign an alarm or other settings to a note after editing, save the note by pressing CTRL+ENTER. This way the note stays on top allowing immediate access to the note menu.
